Just stayed for a night during a meandering road trip, but would have enjoyed a much longer stay! Things were perfect, so convenient, and overall exactly what we needed in a place to crash while adventuring!

Stayed in Room 4 in the 9 unit lodge 2 nights during off peak season with only a few units occupied. Very clean, helpful and responsive hosts with close parking with easy check in. Room (appx 12’x12’) and bathroom are quite small with base level furnishings, but shared amenities include a kitchenette with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal, popcorn, plus a nice outdoor patio area with gas grill. Newer window mount AC/heat worked well. It was comfortable for us with the low occupancy, but might be noisy and crowded during peak season. Interior doors are hollow core with only a door knob lock and floors creak in the older building. Newer paint throughout, but the remodel was a bit clunky with ill-fitting electrical plates, loose plumbing fixtures, laminate flooring on the bathroom walls and dark colors. Kind of a 1970’s lodge vibe. Not a “Wow” for us but fine accommodations for off season.

The space was very nice. Super cozy room. Will definitely plan on staying again in the future.

Moosehead Lodge was well suited to our purpose for being in Rangely.
