Just as tango is the soul of Buenos Aires’ music, fileteado Porteño is its visual heartbeat. Once used to decorate the city’s horse carts and trucks, the art form has evolved into a cultural symbol that now influences global design and art. I’ll bring its past and present alive for you, and help you make a few strokes yourself. • I’ll welcome you to my atelier, where you’ll find a completely filleted car. I’ll discuss the fascinating history and significance of fileteado, as well as my own artistic journey. • I’ll show you a wide range of works using a variety of objects and formats, as I share stories about the connections between fileteado and tango. • Try the technique yourself, making a few strokes on metal and wood with a classic long-haired brush. You’ll leave with a deep appreciation for this vital Buenos Aires tradition, as well as my recommendations for further exploring the city’s rich arts scene.

Join me, a journalist and music expert, for an excursion to Buenos Aires’ best cumbia party. • Kick things off in Argentine style with a previa: getting to know each other as we sip Fernet-cola beverages. • I’ll share what cumbia means to locals and introduce you to various regional styles, including villera, santafesina, and norteña. • Once you’re in the rhythm, we’ll head to a local cumbia party, where I’ll get you insider access. The party, held in a shopping mall, is thrown by one of the most renowned cumbia producers in Buenos Aires. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the vibrant, raw energy of a real Argentine cumbia night away from the crowds. Get ready to dance the night away!

Taste Argentine malbecs in a secret wine cellar

Malbec arrived in Argentina in 1853, and has since become the country’s most emblematic grape variety. Spend an evening in my restaurant’s secret wine cellar, where you’ll taste Argentine Malbec from small and medium-scale producers. • I’ll begin by sharing the past and present of Argentine wine, as well as how Malbec expresses itself depending on the region where it’s grown. • We’ll taste six different Malbecs paired with classic Argentine tapas such as provoleta, empanadas, choripán, and a chorizo steak. (Vegetarian options are available if you provide advance notice.) • I’ll guide you through each step of the tasting, and we’ll share the flavors and aromas that we discover in each glass. You’'ll have a rare chance to try top-quality Malbecs that rarely make it out of the country, and I’ll pass along recommendations for ways to continue exploring the best of Argentine wine.

Buenos Aires's mythical origins: a statue and a Borges poem

• Embark on a historical and literary adventure using a monument and a Jorge Luis Borges poem to explore the origins of Buenos Aires. • The monument is dedicated to the Spanish conqueror Pedro de Mendoza and is located in Parque Lezama, in La Boca neighbourhood. • In the poem’s opening lines, Borges envisions the moment that Spanish ships first arrived at the place where Buenos Aires now stands. • Meet at a traditional coffee shop, where I’ll get a sense of your experience with Borges and Buenos Aires—none is required!—to tailor the rest of our conversation. • Walk to the monument to Pedro de Mendoza, a poignant glimpse into the early days of Spanish colonization. • Read aloud and unravel Borges’ poem «Fundación mítica de Buenos Aires,» focusing on themes based on the group’s interests, and explore more stories and myths surrounding the monument. • Suitable for people with reduced mobility. You’ll leave with a richer understanding of Buenos Aires and a newfound interest in the stories, both true and mythical, that have helped to shape it.

More than just a ticket distributor ;) Argentine Football is great for its chaos and unpredictability - with my help you can enjoy the mayhem with none of the hassle. Fixture lists & schedules are announced late, we can pick the best game available each weekend. We'll meet at a central location (per team) & travel the easiest, safest route to the game with the fans (BA is huge!). I'll give you context on the team's history and their current situation and which players to watch. We’ll help you navigate the various Police controls and find the best point of entry as many access points are closed. Inside we'll be close to the action, a perfect view of the game, and as importantly, the Ultras The Barra Brava are illicit organised fan groups and a key to the occasion - we'll see them from a safe distance providing the noise & colour. Argentine grounds are quite old and ill-maintained, while this is great aesthetically, it means they don’t have the best health & safety measures and a disappointed crowd can be impatient - again, I’ll be with you to ensure there is no trouble leaving the ground. Conoceremos los alrededores de la cancha, compartiremos experiencias con los hinchas del club en los alrededores del sitio. Si es de tu interés podemos visitar una galería o tienda donde venden indumentaria del club local. Luego, concurriremos al partido de fútbol . Ademas de ver el espectáculo deportivo, viviremos la verdadera pasión de la gente en cada uno de los partidos. Verdaderamente el evento se transformará en algo mágico. Veremos la locura de los hinchas en primera fila y compartiremos la adrenalina y felicidad con ellos. Será Una experiencia llena de calor, música y color que todo amante del fútbol debe experimentar para enamorarse de la pasión del futbol argentino. Bailar Tango es una apertura del alma hacia la otra persona con la que bailas, es un sentir mágico que de entenderlo o sentirlo, comprendes de forma automática que es un estilo de vida y del porque este movimiento perduró en el tiempo hasta el día de hoy, que se sigue viviendo en diferentes bares y rincones de la ciudad. Esta experiencia es para eso! No es sólo verlo o conocerlo…. Es entenderlo, vivirlo y sobre todo sentirlo! Y como vamos a conseguir todo esto? - Iremos a una pequeña y antigua mansión en el corazón de San Telmo (barrio tanguero) donde podremos estar relajados al aire libre en la terraza en privado para nosotros. - Haremos juntos una clase de tango grupal (no es obligatorio hacerlo, pero si recomendable) aprenderemos lo básico para luego poder bailar junto a la gente local. - Ahora si, vamos a la milonga!!!! la milonga es el lugar donde la gente local va a bailar (auto privado incluido) - Show Al final... veremos un show de una orquesta en vivo o una pareja de bailarines.

Mate is much more than an infusion for Argentines. Mate is about sharing and making friends. Mate is ritual, it is intimacy and family. It has a specific way of preparing it that comes from the natives of these lands and it is done in the form of a ritual. We invite you to be part of a mate ritual, just like we do every day. We will gather around a table to begin the mate ritual. With an introductory talk, we will tell you about the origin of mate, the legends about mate and what it means for Argentines through our personal experiences. Next, we will provide you with all the necessary elements to prepare a good mate, we will explain how the mate is prepared, all the specific rules that are followed in the mate rituals, as well as the different variations it contains. Then we will get to work, each one preparing their own mate, under our supervision and accompaniment. Then you will have a mate prepared by yourselves. We are going to try different types of mate, mate with herbs, sweet mate, cooked mate and even tereré. Always accompanied by the typical Argentine biscuits.
