Discover the benefits of Nordic-inspired sauna & cold plunge facilities at Badhus, located on the waterfront in the Amsterdam Noord neighborhood. Over the course of three hours, we’ll guide you through several sauna sessions, with a cooling break between. • Soak up the heat in our facilities, which include a floating sauna and a lofted sauna. During these sessions, I will lead you through mindfulness practices and share what I’ve learned about the health and healing benefits of sauna. • In between, you can refresh yourself with our cold therapy options, which include cold showers, a bathtub, and the invigorating experience of natural water swimming. • Outside the sauna, you’re invited to unwind and connect by the indoor fireplace for a while, then enjoy lunch or dinner at our cafe. You’ll leave the sauna having experienced a full body and mind reset, ready to dive back into exploring Amsterdam.

The history of Amsterdam & Netherlands through a beer glass

Join me, a beer sommelier, for an immersive 3.5-hour dive into Dutch beer culture and history with a pub crawl through Amsterdam’s Old Town to uncover how beer shaped Dutch history—from medieval times to the modern craft beer revolution. • We will meet in Dam Square right in front of The Royal Palace and then take a 5 minute walk to our first venue. • Our first stop will be De Pilsener Club, a cozy traditional bar that opened in 1893. Sip a classic beer and jenever—a juniper-flavored liquor popular in the Netherlands—as I explain beer’s impact on trade from the Middle Ages to the 17th century. • Next, head to the tasting room at In De Wildeman to enjoy a carefully chosen beer from the selection of 18 on tap and 250-plus in bottles. I’ll discuss the effects of the Industrial Revolution on commercial brewing. • Wrap up with a locally brewed craft beer at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, which has more than 50 Dutch beers on tap and more than 100 types in bottles. Want to learn how to make your own delicious edibles? At Get Baked Amsterdam we pride ourselves on offering a unique once in a lifetime high quality experience. We'll be meeting you at the local dispensary that we are cooperating with. Here we will buy the special ingredient together as a group. After, we will walk back to our workspace where the experience will start. We will be teaching you how to make delicious brownies (9 pieces per pair) and gummy’s, step by step. Meanwhile, we would love to educate you on the Netherlands in general, such as it’s history, culture and customs. As well as telling the story about its extraordinary relationship with cannabis. We find it of paramount importance to facilitate a safe, welcoming, and trustworthy environment for everyone who wants to participate. Even if you just would want to observe, and instead learn how to make normal brownies and gummies from scratch, you are very welcome to join. We cater to vegan and gluten-free dietary wishes but only with a minimum of 2 people since the baking takes place in pairs. These options are only for the brownies; gummies include gelatine. I can provide fast Lane tickets. - We meet at this coffee place: Lot61 Amsterdam Centraal Oosterdoksstraat 4 Amsterdam - We start at the Keukenhof Gardens where we can enjoy 7 million flowers and smell the most intoxicating scents, 80 acres of flowers. - After we look for the flower fields and take some pictures there. - After we drive to Zaanse Schans where we visit a windmill inside and experience the intimidating power of the wind. - We do a chocolate stop to taste some Dutch fudgy brownies and home made cocoa. - We visit a wooden shoe workshop and see what happens when you blow into a wooden shoe ;-) (There is a cheese shop you could visit for free samples, during a small break. ) All this intertwined with many local stories, fun facts and personal stories. PLEASE NOTE !!! Inside the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens there are ALWAYS tulips from March 21 until May 4. 80 acres of tulips !! After April 24 I can’t guarantee the outside farmers flower fields. "Award winning Airbnb tourguide" This seasonal all inclusive experience is only 6 weeks available. See beautiful blooming hyacinths, daffodils and tulips and their different varieties! Book now to see endless rows of flowers that bloom only in March and April. The small group (max 7) experience feels like a private tour. We come at places where no tourbusses can come. Also we will visit a tulip bulb farmer and we can walk in between his fields. When the group is complete, we do a short introduction. From Amsterdam we drive west to the bulb region. Through rural roads we see the flower fields left and right. We stop a few times to take beautiful pictures. On the way I will tell stories about the history of the tulip, the fields and how the farmers grow and cultivate them. Halfway during the experience we have a coffee stop with Dutch apple pie at a unique place. A great time to connect and get to know each other a bit more. From there we drive back through the tulip fields to Amsterdam and stop for more pictures. Water is available in the car. Coffee, tea and apple pie is included. We drive in a luxurious spacious Van.

Smeden leren in een smeedworkshop

We gaan allemaal een stuk staal bewerken tot een mooi werkstuk, we hebben de keuze uit verschillende soorten werkstukken om te maken. Ik ga jullie van alles uitleggen over de werking van metaal en jullie begeleiden bij het maken van deze werkstukken. Aan het eind van de workshop neem je het door jou gemaakte werkstuk mee naar huis. Other things to note Smeden is niet geschikt voor kinderen onder de 12 jaar. Verder is het zowel voor mannen als vrouwen. De hamers wegen 1 kg, je hoeft niet sterk te zijn. Je kleding kan erg vies worden vandaar dat we verzoeken om oude kleding te dragen. Ook dichte schoenen is een vereiste.

Meeting point is on the Julianabrug, Zaandijk. On the bridge we have a spectacular view on the windmills of the Zaanse Schans. The duration of the tour is two hours. Do you prefer another meeting point, for example Amsterdam Central Station, or train station Zaandijk-Zaanse Schans, or another meeting time please contact me. I will show you the houses in beautiful Zaans green and you can take a look at the first store of Albert Heijn (1887). First we walk to the clog maker. You will see a demonstration making clogs/wooden shoes . Then we go to the cheese factory where a demonstration and explanation is given, and of course we are going to taste cheese. Last but not least we will walk to the windmills and it is possible to visit "De Kat" paint mill, for example. If you want to visit another windmill, this is also possible. Entrance fee is not included. Finally, I will take you back to the starting point of the tour. Other things to note Is a meeting point in Amsterdam possible? Yes, at the railway station Amsterdam CS.
