The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

From the modern luxurious interior, you can soak up nature at its finest. The platypus, other waterlife and birdlife are visible from the breakfast / cocktail bar as well as from the bathtub or outdoor shower. The biggest decision you will need to make is which vantage point to enjoy. My place is close to great views and plenty of wildlife. It is great for romantic getaways or exploring the rainforest to see birds, platypus in the creek at Broken River or just to hang out. The name "Eungella" means "land of cloud" so when you wake up in the morning you will likely be surrounded by thick cooling cloud which clears by about 9am to a beautiful sunny day with the wildlife just waiting to be discovered! Eungella is over an hour from Mackay.

Relax on the deck while you plan your next adventure. For you boaties, we have a parking area for your trailer boat, and a few hot offshore marks. the Billabong has a dog friendly area. The Billabong is not suitable for infants, toddlers or children.
