Området rundt har gode turforhold både til fots, på ski og på sykkel. Det er mulighet for jakt- og fiske. Rett utenfor døra finnes et godt utbygd nett av velpreparerte skiløyper. Det er kort vei til alpinanleggene i Trysilfjellet (25 minutter) og Sälen (35 minutter). Her har man nærhet til aktiviteter både sommer og vinter.
