Kamesei Ryokan is a family-run traditional onsen inn with mostly warm wood construction and gardens throughout. We are an American-Japanese couple that are happy to share our onsen town Togura-Kamiyamada with visitors curious about the Japanese countryside. You can relax wearing yukata robes in your private tatami mat rooms and enjoy the hot spring mineral baths rich in sulfur content. (The onsen baths are tattoo-friendly.) Our chef's creative kaiseki-style dinners are highly recommended.

3 min walk to Matsumoto castle and Nawate street. The Hostel faces a quiet street and there are some good-old restaurants, Izakaya bars and a public bath around there. The building is renovated traditional Japanese house so that you can enjoy cozy Japanese atmosphere and have a relaxing time on the Kotatsu, hammock and couch sofa in the common area. The room is Japanese-style dormitory room with bunk beds. Each bed has a reading light, outlets and a storage box for valuable items.

The Joint Hakuba is centrally located in the heart of Echoland Hakuba. A short stroll to restaurants, bars, cafes, ski and snowboard hire, gift shops and transport to the Hakuba Mountains. We have en-suite rooms, non en-suite rooms and 6 bed dorm room. Open fire place in our comfortable lounge room ,watch Netflix or have a drink by the fire. Outside BBQ area and Campfire. Very comfortable second floor guesthouse, with south-facing lounge, overlooking classic Nawate Street in the heart of Matsumoto. Across Metoba River from Nakamachi merchant street, a few blocks from Matsumoto Castle, surrounded by cafes and izakayas, and a short walk to museums and Matsumoto station. We run a cafe & bar on the 1st floor, and live on the 3rd with our children. We're always here for any questions you have!
