For us this venture is a dream come true. We have designed every inch of the double-volume space with its spectacular arch window ourselves and enjoyed every minute of it! The interior is modern and quirky, with whites and greys forming the backdrop to an eclectic ensemble of furniture and finishes in chrome, glass, wood, and plain and printed fabrics. The mountain begins almost across the street, with direct access to walking trails and the wide open scenic “Butterfly Fields” right on our doorstep. The space is compact, with 2 small en suite bedrooms, a kitchenette, and a comfortable lounge. Perfect for young families: toys, books, trampoline, treehouse, and shared garden. Please note: the rooms are small and we have 2 very friendly dogs on the property.

A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

The small university town of Stellenbosch is a wonderful place to visit and is 3km down the road from us. All guests are welcome to stay in this relaxing, quiet and cosy room with its own separate entrance. Nestled below the beautiful Stellenbosch mountain range and surrounded by neighbouring vineyards.
