Peace and tranquility. Situated 12kms from Fairlie and only 30mins drive to Lake Tekapo our self contained accommodation is a perfect place to relax. We provide a warm and sunny studio unit which includes a delicious continental breakfast and is private from your hosts home nearby. Amazing star gazing and just 2kms from Lake Opuha for those keen on fishing, boating, kayaking, biking and walking. This is a spectacular and peaceful rural setting with amazing views of the mountains.

It may be clever but it's also comfortable and private, with an incredible mountain view. "Clever Cube" is a high-end studio unit with tea and coffee making facilities This is the perfect place to recharge after a busy day in the Mackenzie. We are currently running a special as we haven't been able to complete the landscaping, please check the photos.

2 new insulated warm cabins on our farm available, these are private with each having its own bathroom and area for hot drinks or basic cooking & TV. Plenty of parking for boat trailers, pet friendly but please make sure they have had their hydatids shots, BBQ available on request. We are only 5 mins from lake Opua, 25 mins to Lake Tekapo, 35 mins up to the top of Mt Dobson ski field, 7 mins to Fairlie, Kimbell Pub 5 mins. This is a farm and rural area, we are not in a city.

The first owner Dick built his own house and named it "old Pennscroft" ,meaning using his own "penny" to make a "croft". Our Pennscroft room offers a breath-taking lakefront view from the bedroom; outside sun-soaked balcony is perfect for relaxing and simply letting the amazing view to steal your heart. This room has a separate bathroom.
