Gio provides a unique tour, giving a local perspective of Cartagena and Bazurto market, off the beaten path. We met wonderful community members who shared their stories and dishes, and appreciate the experience a lot. It was a highlight of our trip.

Despite the tropical heat, Gio ensures you’re constantly hydrated with multiple stops to cool off. We appreciated his willingness to stop when we needed.

This tour isn’t for the weary though. The traffic is stressful despite being lead by a great guide, so keep this in mind if you’re not comfortable biking.

The tour felt like a monologue too and not so much a conversation, but we think that’s because Gio’s excited to show and tell us all about Cartagena. It could also be a good idea to have the tour earlier to avoid the worst of the heat.
