We’d love for your happy beach memories to be made here at our cottage by the sea, The Whimsy Whale. Our island cottage is perfectly placed under a canopy of magnificent live oaks, about 300 steps away from the ocean. Nestled on a quiet beach access street, central to all the best attractions, shopping and eateries on Oak Island; close to attractions in Southport. It is one of our favorite places to spend time together and we look forward to sharing it with you, your loved ones and friends.

North Myrtle is only 40 minutes away! Shallotte, NC is an inland beach town that invites your family + pets to enjoy the coastal experience, events and vibes.

Sat -Sat weekly rentals in summer season. PLEASE NOTE: All three pools are for our guests to use and are maintained thru the HOA and we do not have any control over exactly when they open (Usually April 1st ) or if any of them closes for any reason. No refunds will be given if any of the pools are closed temporarily.

Guests may use the dock & pier (at your own risk) Guests can watch the activity on the water and Jet skis are for rent nearby. ** No WiFi, No Children, No Pets. Original beachfront cottage on Holden Beach, just steps from the sand and water. Enjoy the dolphins and shorebirds from the rockers on the covered porch. Cozy studio has been completely renovated with thoughtful amenities. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen including coffee, condiments, spices, and premium cookware. No stairs to climb, level walkway, and a fully fenced yard are ideal for children, pets (fee applies), and older guests. Lots of amenities and beach equipment are provided.

Beautifully decorated beach themed OSW1 complex top floor keyless entry 3 bdrm, 2 bath oceanfront condo with panoramic views of the sea. This unit boosts a fully stocked kitchen, ready made beds with all linens and two baths with a set of towels per guest. New furniture, two large wall mounted TV’s, beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels are available for your convenience. Sunday -Sunday weekly rental in summer season with the exception of July 11th, 12th weekend is available.
