Uncork Napa's hidden history

Dive into Napa's unexpected past with a local historian at a beloved brewery. I am the author of four books about Napa‘s history. I have picked a historic brewery overlooking the Napa river for us to think about what this region used to look like and how it has changed. You will be getting a map to walkable historic sites downtown, along with a signed copy of my book. We will be overlooking the steamboat routes that carried sheep and cattle, fruit and leather products between Napa and San Francisco. Those boats also brought mental patients to Napa’s asylum, and I will talk about what that asylum offered. ad we overlook what was once Napa‘s Chinatown, you’ll learn about the marching band and the Chinese temple. You’ll be able to imagine the railroads that once traveled up the valley as you hear the whistle of today’s wine train. As you sip beer and munch on appetizers, you’ll be able to see the beautiful mountains that circle the valley and I’ll describe the stage coaches that once took travelers into those mountains.

Paint Watercolor with a Local Artist

You will have the opportunity to paint iconic San Francisco images in watercolor with an experienced artist and teacher. Beginners are welcome and all materials are included, you'll walk away with your own personal masterpiece! My name is James Gleeson and I am a multi faceted, local San Francisco Artist who specializes in local scenes of San Francisco. My work reflects both academic discipline and creative artistic freedom. My studio is located in the Bernal Heights/Mission district where I display my work and share my passion for art with others. This is where I paint and teach my classes, you will be immersed by iconic images and paintings of San Francisco. We do a different theme each class and I prepare an individual drawing for each student on watercolor paper. All students are provided materials and a spacious place to work. We will do a quick round of introductions and I'll explain our theme and painting in a beginner friendly step by step process. I will explain and demonstrate each step for students to paint each segment of the painting. You will learn basic water color technique as well as color and design methods. I am very excited to host you and to provide this artistic experience. As a teacher I love working with beginners and seeing their inspiration for art grow. "Street Stories" San Francisco Murals with Sirron Norris

For the past 50 years, the walls of San Francisco’s Mission District have served as vibrant canvases for graffiti artists and muralists. For 25 of those years, I’ve contributed my own work to this colorful tapestry. Join me on a walking tour of the neighborhood’s most iconic alley, where I’ll introduce you to my murals and other standout pieces. • Starting Point: We’ll meet at my studio/gallery, where I’ll share stories from my journey as an artist. Perhaps you’ve spotted my signature blue bears around town? Or maybe you’re familiar with the animated show Bob’s Burgers—I was the original designer for the show. • Balmy Alley: From there, we’ll head to Balmy Alley, home to an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary murals. We’ll discuss the evolution of mural culture in the Mission, as well as the techniques, styles, and cultural narratives that make each piece unique. • Studio Visit: Our tour will conclude with a visit to my art studio.This is your chance to explore my work, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about my art. Follow me into one of LA’s most iconic flea markets, Melrose Trading Post, where I’ll lean on my experience as a fashion industry set designer to help you score one-of-a-kind finds. Melrose Trading Post is my go-to spot to scour for items to use on set — each antique, artwork, and memorabilia here tells a unique story about LA’s history and identity. • We’ll make our way over to the market. After giving you the lay of the land, you’ll be sent on an unconventional scavenger hunt where you might look for anything from a creepy doll to the “ugliest” item. Cheesy prizes included. • You’ll be introduced to some of the vendors I personally frequent. I know how to find the perfect items at the best prices and will give you pointers. Electric Bike Tour of Morro Bay

Electric bikes are the best way to see Morro Bay. With our local knowledge of the area and passion for biking we will be able to navigate you to all the highlights the town has to offer. We can easily power up hills to views and zip up close to all the best attractions. The Sea Wall, Morro Rock, The otters, State Park and so much more! We start by giving a brief bike overview and training at our shop before taking off on the tour. Confident biking ability is required. The bikes are just like riding a normal bike except you wont get tired and you can go much quicker! Once we are feeling ready the guide will then lead you out on a 2-3 hour tour! During the tour you will have time to step off the bikes, take photos and check out the attractions! By the end of the tour will have circled almost the entire city and seen all of the beaches!

Hot Glass Studio Workshop - make something beautiful

Make something beautiful with hot glass in this small group experience! Join us at the only publicly accessible glassblowing facility in the area, located in the historic village of Davenport (just 10 minutes above Santa Cruz on Highway 1). With the help of our skilled team of glass artists you'll learn to shape the 2,000 degree glass to create your own beautiful object d'art. Options include making a paperweight, heart, or small glass disk. Nov-Dec, you can choose to make two holiday ornaments. Fancy upgrades are available for a fee. This hands-on studio session allows you to select and apply colors, then shape the molten glass according to your creative vision. A hands-on experience appropriate for individuals, couples, and families. All sessions include a brief talk on the history and process of glass blowing. And we train you how to work with hot glass safely! Important details: Please provide your phone number when you book! Your glass creation will be ready to pick up the next day, can be shipped to any address in the United States (extra charge for cost of shipping). Special shapes/requests require an upgrade fee. Continue on to explore the canals of Venice as you roll over historic bridges. See canoes, paddleboarders & ducks. I can show you an original cottage, a tribute to hippies from the sixties or my guess for the winner of the upcoming home decorating contest. Make a final stop at Muscle Beach made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 70s. If he’s not off making movies you may meet the new Arnold, 6’9” Ike Catcher a true eye catcher and biggest man on the bars. He’ll pose with you cuz you know you want that muscle beach photo. Snap. And we cruise back. Other things to note You must be a comfortable bike rider to do this tour. Ages 13-75, 100– 250lbs. Under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. I will make sure that you get the perfect photos to show off your trip to Las Vegas. I will also share local insider tips for restaurants, shows, and off-Strip hidden gems. We will start by meeting at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino, where we will capture the perfect photo of the iconic Bellagio fountains (with the Eiffel Tower in the background). We will then cross Las Vegas Blvd and get a wide angle shot of the Eiffel Tower. Our tour will continue to the Flamingo Habitat for a must-have shot with the High Roller in the background. We will then make our way towards Caesar's Palace, where we will get photos with the Trevi Fountain. We will finish off with some shots in front of the Venetian Hotel and the famous gondolas. This tour will be conducted by walking (approximately a mile and a half from start to finish). I am happy to take photos with my own iPhone 15 PRO (complete with wide lens) or with your personal device or your professional camera (on private tours). I will also edit three of your favorite photos for you! You will leave this tour with social media worthy photos from all locations as well as new knowledge of the hotels and spots we visit.

尖峰石阵徒步与摄影之旅

We'll meet up and drive to the trailhead. I'll guide you through the 4.5 mile (round trip) hike that climbs 1,100 feet for a stunning view from the top. I'll take posed and candid photos of you as we hike. Throughout the experience I'll teach about the local plants and animals :) It is a fun exercise and very satisfying experience. The landscape all around the Pinnacles is beautiful and scenic. For more pictures look up my Insta echo_adventure_photography. Other things to note It is a very warm hike, sunny with little shade, and often windy at the top. If it's raining nearby, it's still probably still sunny on the trail. I am very flexible with times and dates, just ask!
