My goal is to offer a comfortable , unique, and satisfying experience for all my guests.

Just a 1/2 mile walk through a historic neighborhood to our beautiful downtown Galesburg.

Nestled next the beautiful Shawnee National Forest, here you will find you’re just a short drive from hunting, fishing, hiking and nearly a dozen of the finest wineries around! A couple of things to note: We do live in the very back of the house. You might bump into us in the morning making coffee! Secondly, we are an event venue! If you’re planning an event please let us know prior to your stay.

Our home is from the Victorian era on the southern most point of Lake Springfield. It was completely lost to fire in 1991, and rebuilt. It is spacious, 5000 square feet on two sprawling acres with park like arbors and trees. Mary Todd room celebrates what is inscribed on her wedding ring; the love of family and life together. There is a queen sized bed, armoire for hanging clothes, dresser and desk/chair. The Airbnb cleaning and sanitizing protocol is used to keep the area guest ready.

This 1840's miner's cottage in the heart of Galena is only 3 blocks from beautiful, historic and fun Downtown Galena Main Street, but is far enough to have quiet times in the quarter acre yard of perennial gardens as well the expansive 2 story front porch, and 3rd porch off the kitchen, with gas grill. The house sits on a corner lot in the Galena National Historic District. The bathroom and kitchen are newly remodeled and the entire house is designer decorated. Beautiful!

Mr. Poehlman raised 7 boys and 3 girls in the 3 story brick home. Standing tall and modest at the very end of the street of a very quiet neighborhood. The rooms are spacious but cozy enough to make you feel right at home.
